Event Calendars

Identify, locate and access all relevant data related to a particular event - EventCalendar is a powerful events diary with coverage planning capabilities. Metadata tags enabled searches allow journalists to see a filtered view showing only those events relevant to their newsroom, subject or platform.
It can be viewed in day, three-day, week and monthly views. Items can be automatically inserted from agency sources and resource assignments can be made directly from the planning area.

StoryBin

The new module OpenMedia StoryBin ensures self-acting synchronization of all related story assets across the entire editorial workflow. Tight integration with the OpenMedia rundown management offers a seamless workflow from planning to play out.
Precise and consequent trace of allocated resources and produced outputs is guaranteed. All information and results can of course automatically be forwarded to a third-party enterprise resource planning (ERP) system or data warehouse system.

The module offers additional OpenMedia functionality for video management.
As soon as an OpenMedia Rundown is ready for broadcast, it can be put "OnAir". With this step all relevant information for video is handed over to the Playout module, which then controls the playout via the video server.

eGallery

The powerful module eGallery of the OpenMedia newsroom computer system introduces more precise monitoring and play out management control for gallery and control room operators.
The paperless mode provides rundown views tailored for gallery and studio users, with unnecessary information hidden, clear timing displays and an automatic “now and next” script display.

OpenMedia implements the industry-standard MOS protocol for broadcast device integration, and currently supports version 2.8.3 (and earlier) of the protocol in profiles 0,1,2,3,4,6..

WebServices

Another way of interfacing with the OpenMedia system is by using its APIs, which come as Web Services. These enable the OpenMedia system to be accessed and exploited from the outside in a generic way.
